The Singapore price sheet

Every confinement price in Singapore. One table.

Centres quote "from" prices, nanny agencies leave out the levy, and nobody totals the month the same way. So we did it for you — every published package, the true all-in nanny cost, and the per-day maths, with dates on every figure.

The short answer

How much does a confinement centre in Singapore cost?

Published 28-day packages start around S$15,888, and most mainstream options land between S$20,000 and S$30,000.

The luxury tier keeps going — into six figures at the very top. And the sticker is rarely the total: GST, service charge, partner meals and premium rooms sit outside most quotes, which is why every figure below carries its date and source.

The classic alternative

What a live-in nanny actually totals

The advertised fee is the start. Here's the whole stack — including the parts the comparison articles skip.

Plus groceries, herbs, and a place for her to sleep. Permit rules per MOM; fee ranges per the PEM 2026 market guide. Remember the trade: a nanny is one person — you're still the 3am backup on her day off.

The maths nobody does

JB figures use the RM16,000–25,000 mid-market band at RM3.3/S$1 — budget JB packages start lower still. The honest wrinkle in the JB option: a newborn can't cross the Causeway until their passport exists, so the paperwork timeline is part of the plan. Here's that trail, and here are the sixteen JB centres compared.

Medisave won't pay for any of this. It covers medical care, not confinement accommodation or nannies — and for a planned JB delivery it applies only through CPF's approved referral pathway. The full coverage picture is on the corridor guide.

Common questions

Singapore confinement costs, answered plainly

How much does a confinement centre in Singapore cost?
Published 28-day packages start around S$15,888 as of mid-2026, with most mainstream options between S$20,000 and S$30,000. The luxury tier runs from about S$42,000 to S$168,800. Quotes usually exclude GST, service charge and partner meals — ask for an all-in figure.
What's the cheapest way to do confinement in Singapore?
Meals-only delivery is the entry point at about S$1,650–2,150 for 28 days of lunch and dinner. A live-in confinement nanny is the classic middle path at roughly S$3,300–5,500 all-in once you add the agency fee, ang pao, work permit, levy and insurance. Centres start at roughly three to five times the nanny all-in cost.
Confinement nanny vs confinement centre — what's the real cost difference?
All-in, a 28-day live-in nanny runs about S$3,300–5,500 (agency fee S$2,800–4,500, plus ang pao, S$35 permit, S$60–300/month levy, and mandatory insurance). A centre starts around S$15,888. The nanny is cheaper but you're still the night-shift backup; the centre is staffed around the clock.
Why are JB confinement centres so much cheaper?
Cost structure, not corners: Malaysian wages, rents and food costs are lower across the board. A JB mid-market month runs about RM16,000–25,000 (S$4,850–7,600) with a comparable care model on paper (inclusions and staffing vary — compare line by line) — and CNA found one new JB centre reporting over 70% of its customers were Singaporean.
Can I use Medisave for confinement?
Not for the confinement centre or nanny — Medisave covers medical care, not postpartum accommodation and care services. For delivery itself, Medisave applies in Singapore hospitals, and can apply to a planned JB delivery only through CPF's approved referral pathway via Health Management International.
What do you actually get at S$16,000 versus S$42,000?
Broadly the same care skeleton — room, confinement meals, 24-hour nursery, lactation support. The price climbs with the property (hotel vs dedicated suites vs Capella), room size, staff ratios, one-to-one nanny time, and treatments. Ask every centre the same three questions: babies per nanny at 3am, what's excluded, and the refund terms.
